About David:

Raised in Orlando, FL, David attended Florida State University before obtaining his master’s of business from the University of Miami. David was also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

While a sophomore college, David began his entrepreneurial career with Southwestern Advantage building an educational sales business. Throughout his four years with SWA, he recruited and trained over 50 salespeople with invaluable life and business skills.  During this time, he earned the Freddy Award (#1 Team in the World) in January 2013.

In 2013 and 2015, David was recognized for recruiting the top sales production team in Southwestern Advantage while being a top salesman himself. After working as the first sales rep for Repscrubs, a medical equipment-oriented startup, David returned to the Southwestern Family of Companies to begin the creation of Southwestern Insurance Group in June of 2018.  Southwestern Insurance Group sold its first insurance policy in November 2018 and never looked back. The business serves their clients by connecting them with the best insurance products for their situation.

Southwestern Insurance Group is currently serving clients in five states, David has his eyes set on growing nationwide through a consultative approach to personal lines insurance.  According to David, “At Southwestern, saying sales is the same as saying service. Insurance is an industry that has become very commoditized – focused only on how to save money. We focus on the client and shop for the best products for their needs. Insurance is important to everyone at any age. We are working toward making insurance cool for young people.”

David starts his mornings at the gym training for his next triathlon. On the weekends, you can find him at a Nashville Sounds baseball game, catching up with friends, or hiking. His favorite quote is from Jackie Robinson, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.”
