Derek runs Mythia, a software company that helps investors find profitable NFTs. Their own NFTs sold $500,000 in 1 week, and they’ve also raised $2 million in venture capital, from Y Combinator and the founders of Tinder and NerdWallet.

Prior to Mythia, Derek co-founded Next! Fitness, an in-person gym which used computer vision to automatically track workouts. Before that, he ran eCommerce marketing for KIND Bars, a multi-billion dollar health foods company.

Derek also spent 5 years as a digital nomad, building and running multiple eCommerce companies, including a t-shirt company that sold $100,000 per month at its peak, and others which included vitamin gummy bears and foosball tables.

After departing eCommerce, Derek taught himself to code, including machine learning and computer vision, raising millions of dollars for various tech startups, including Mythia.
