As an Elite-level coach and Partner for Southwestern Consulting, he thrives on awakening others to their potential and inspiring them to create powerful impact.

His coaching offers the advantage of crucial accountability while equipping others with the knowledge to begin making key decisions and become more effective both personally and professionally.
The path to coaching began early for Adam, as he spent all four college summers developing one of the largest-producing sales teams for Southwestern Advantage at the time. During his last few years with Southwestern Advantage, he pioneered a mentor program for college students across the country, allowing them to access the same principles and concepts that he learned throughout the Southwestern summer sales and leadership program.
Adam’s proven performance as a top producer has consistently spanned his history with Southwestern. He was ranked #2 in team production and was a President’s Club Member (representing the Top 1% of the company) eight out of nine years. He also received the distinction of Platinum Certification in Sales and Recruiting, the highest level of achievement possible. In addition, Adam developed a method of leadership development and recruiting within the company that has since been adopted by half of the U.S. sales managers. He is also founder of Southwestern Consulting’s Student Coaching division, a 1:1 coaching program specifically designed for students ages 13-19.
Adam enjoys giving back, serving on the board of a local non-profit and also produces a podcast, “Inside Great Minds”. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Adam resides in Texas with his wife, Tina, a field hockey coach and club owner. They share a passion for coaching and changing lives.

Adam Outland: Hi, my name is Adam Outland, partner at Southwestern Consulting, and I will be taking on the Action Catalyst and I’m thrilled to be able to be post prior to the Action Catalyst. I have the opportunity to build my own podcast inside great Minds and have always had a passion for interviewing and helping others.
Understanding the best practices of folks who have found success in this world and understanding what makes people tick. I became a partner at Southwestern Consulting where we spend time doing one-on-one coaching for high level executives, managers, and producers. It also gives us an opportunity to, to really learn from some of the best leaders and top performers all over the world.
So I’ve had the opportunity to work with some chief operating officers for Fortune 500 companies. I’ve had the chance to coach and work with CEOs of large scale companies, and from them, while we give them some of our systems that we’ve developed from 160 year company, I’ve also had the opportunity to learn some of what makes them great and how they got to where they are.
That really has led my passion for the kind of work that we do at the Action Catalyst where we have. To unpack those lessons and you get to partake in that knowledge, how they accomplished what they’ve accomplished in life, and learn some of the principles and best practices that make ’em who they are.
And my wife and I met in college and on her honeymoon I discovered that my. Two time national champion, athletic field hockey of a wife has a desire for mountain climbing. She chose for us a special mountain in Bali, Indonesia for our honeymoon to climb Mount Aung, which means the great one. And so while many people enjoy the beach, we decided we would climb, uh, 10,000 football keynote that was still active for our honeymoon.
So that gives you a little insight into my world. I’ve always been drawn to the medium of podcasts. I think being able to hear sound bites at your own speed on audio when you’re going to the gym, when driving has been incredibly value to my education and, uh, of those podcasts I’ve had the opportunity to listen to.
The Action Catalyst is, is definitely one the mix that I’ve heard as a listener. People from, uh, famous astronauts to successful business people add a dimension to the interviews that allow me to pick up different nuggets and always something that I could implement myself. I really hope what the listener receives from me as host is just my absolute passion for the work.
I started as a journalist at university, largely because, Fascinated by people. I truly, if I could just be a curious cat, uh, all day long and just sit down with unique characters and unpack their life stories and better understand what made them who they are, I would literally do it. Luckily, my job is pretty close to that.
I get to live a little bit of my dream, which is meeting unique and wonderful characters and helping you be along for the journey. In all of my conversations with what you might call successful professionals, people who. There’s a significant amount in sports or in business or music. We over idealize the people who have achieved, and part of the goal of the Action Catalyst is actually to show the humanity behind the people who come on to be interviewed.
Because wherever you are, In your journey, there is a pathway to create action to overcome procrastination. And that even the, the highest performers I’ve had the chance to interview or coach have all dealt with things, holding them back. So at its core, action Catalyst is about the journey, not the destination.
So I’m excited to join you, the listener, in this audio adventure of ours with the Action Catalyst, and I really hope you’ll join us and the incredible. Some truly incredible and wonderful guests that we have on the docket.
