It’s a rare tag-team episode, featuring former CEO and Fortune 50 Global Executive Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann alongside fitness pro and Founder of SOFit SF Inc., Lillian So, covering the importance of paying yourself first, the 4 major Rs (reset, renew, rest, reflect), why it’s impossible to be grateful and be in a crisis at the same time, the virtues of simplification, and wisdom from their new book, “FitCEO: Be the Leader of Your Life”.
About Rebecca:
Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann is a seasoned CEO with broad leadership experience in sales and marketing, risk management, and international business operations. She spent more than a decade at Citigroup, serving in a range of CEO, president, and general-manager roles, and previously was with Wells Fargo for thirteen years, culminating in her role as head of the small-business segment, where she built a multibillion-dollar P&L (profit and loss) division. Rebecca is known for leading highly successful business turnarounds, scaling new businesses, and expanding operations globally, along with her strong background in governance through corporate and nonprofit board experiences. She is a frequently sought-after speaker on leadership and business transformation, culture change, and building high-performing teams.
Rebecca has received numerous awards, including being named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Bay Area’s 100 Most Influential Women in Business for twelve years. In 2018, she was honored with the Fulbright Lifetime Achievement Award, having studied at the University of Helsinki, Finland, as a postgraduate Fulbright scholar. She has a BA in semiotics from Brown University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
In 2020, Rebecca started RMK Group, LLC (RMKGroupLLC.com) to advise CEOs of start-ups in all phases of growth. She helps her clients in the same way that she achieved success in the corporate world—by devising and implementing strategies based on the philosophy of four pillars of management: operational excellence, customer centricity, employee engagement, and shareholder return.
